The Toyota LandCruiser has been lauded as one of the most popular four-wheel drive vehicles Down Under. With its impressive off-road capabilities and reputation for reliability, it’s no surprise the Toyota LandCruiser has made a mark on Australian roads. The iconic 4X4 is Toyota’s longest-running series, after all, with the first comfort-oriented LandCruiser, the J50, produced way back in 1967. And now, the 2022 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series is set to carry on this revolutionary line with a release date steering toward October 2021. Below, we break down the prices and specifications of the six variants that will be offered, ahead of their arrival in the Downtown Toyota showroom.
Opening the range, the GX showcases the standard equipment seen across the new 300 series. For starters, at launch all six models are powered by a new and efficient 3.3-litre twin-turbo diesel V, power pushed to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The GXL is the first model to add seven seats to the LandCruiser 300 series, alongside the Multi-Terrain Select off-road system. As for fuel economy across the entire range, it’s rated at 8.9L/100km and falls to 7.6L/100km on the highway.

An extra $10,717 increase from the GXL, the LandCruiser VX brings a power-adjustable steering wheel and an advanced 360-degree camera into the mix. It’s a comfortable drive for passengers with climate control automated throughout the car.

What was once the flagship of the range, the Sahara adds even more specifications to the 300 series, including power-folding third-row seats for when you’ve got the whole family on board. The impressive new flagship model, the Sahara ZX is at the top of the 300 series range and a lesson in understated luxury. While all the models take a 32-degree approach angle, the ground clearance of the Sahara ZX is a sharp 24 degrees due to its unique bumper.
