The national survey, conducted by independent consultancy Catalyst Research, asked more than 3,300 members of the Australian public for their opinions on what brands are important to them.
Reader's Digest said trust remains essential as organisations look at fresh ways to maintain and build stronger connections with their customers.
It said the winners are brands recognised by consumers as being consistently reliable and value for money, whatever the economic climate.
Toyota Australia Chief Marketing Officer Vin Naidoo said Toyota was honoured to again be recognised by Australians as a brand they could trust.
"We are extremely grateful that customers continue to put their trust in Toyota as a brand that delivers quality vehicles and service," Mr Naidoo said.
